HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
HELP of Southern Nevada works with various local programs to help those in need during the holiday season. Assistance programs include help with Thanksgiving Meals and Holiday Gifts.
HELP of Southern Nevada is honored to walk alongside thousands of families each holiday season. From sharing Thanksgiving meals to bringing joy with toys and gift cards in December, our goal is to support children and families who might otherwise go without. To receive assistance, we kindly ask that you register in-person and bring the required documents during each program’s registration four-day registration period.

Online applications are not available
Once qualified and registered, you’ll receive a voucher for in-person pickup

Due to limited space, do not bring children to registration. You will not be served if children are present.

Program Guidelines
Children may receive toys, bikes, and age-appropriate gift cards.
The first 900 households applying in November may receive Thanksgiving assistance (frozen turkey + groceries).
Assistance is dependent on donations received.
Households without children are eligible for Thanksgiving assistance only.
Food assistance is not provided for December applicants.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Required Documents
You must bring the following items with you to complete your registration. Bring photocopies of the following (no mobile device images accepted):
Government-issued ID for head of household / parents / guardians (Expired after Nov 2023 is acceptable)
Social Security or ITIN cards for all participants
Birth certificates for children (crib card acceptable up to age 1)
Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
High school enrollment proof (ages 16+)
Proof of Southern Nevada residency (rent receipt, lease, mortgage, utility bill, or 2 recent pieces of government/utility mail)
Income Verification (Earnings, Assistance, and Other Money)
For each person in the household who receives earnings, benefits, compensation, public assistance or income of any kind, bring award letters or verification / documentation for any of the following:
2 months of paycheck stubs
TANF award letter
Social Security
Medicare / Medicaid
Workers Comp
Unemployment / PUA
Retirement / Pension
Section 8 benefits
SNAP
Child support
Any other income
Eligibility
You qualify if your household income is at or below 200% of the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Group Application For Toy Assistance
The application for groups to receive resources from the 2025 98.5 KLUC "Chet Buchanan Show" Toy Drive is now closed. Due to the overwhelming response, those who applied will be informed of acceptances or declines on or before November 10, 2025. Questions can be emailed to info@helpsonv.org.
