Job Title:

New Beginnings Case Manager (FT)

Sample Duties Provide outreach and supportive services to clients moving into long term housing, to promote transition from homelessness. Conduct initial assessments and create client driven treatment plans, as well as providing case management and crisis intervention. Complete monthly treatment plan reviews, monitor client progress, provide follow up services, and transportation to appointments. Document services in HMIS in real-time data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelorís degree in Social Work, or combination of education and experience, substantially equivalent to a bachelorís degree
  • Experience working with the homeless population
  • Must have valid NV license, and clean driving record. Driver History Reports are required to be submitted on a quarterly basis.

    ADMINISTRATION

    Job Title:

    Behavioral Health Director

    Sample Duties Will provide oversight of all behavioral health programs, prevention and Medicaid services and programming requirements. Responsible for oversight of clinical content, program compliance and certification requirements for clinical staff. Will supervise employees and interns who are part of the clinical team, providing guidance and support. Attend required meetings and trainings, review AVATAR reports, and implement quality assurance plan, as well as develop behavioral health policies, procedures and plans. Assist in grant writing and applications as needed.
    Requirements:
  • Co-Credentialed Therapist. Licensed Nevada CPC, MFT or LCSW in good standing with the Board of Examiners. Must be able to obtain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through Medicaid and both Managed Care Organizations (Amerigroup and HPN). Will consider intern status.
  • Certified Supervisor for the Board of Examiners for Alcohol Drug and Gambling Counseling.
  • Previous experience as a licensed clinician working in addictions, mental health and co-occurring treatment settings required. Experience with homeless population preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of addictions, mental health and co-occurring treatment models, Evidence Based Practices, and client care.
  • Ability to interact with community partners, consumers, and grantor personnel, representing the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Hours: Monday thru Thursday 7am to 5pm *

    SHANNON WEST HOMELESS YOUTH CENTER

    Job Title:

    Residential Monitor (4 Openings) (FT)

    Sample Duties Will monitor on-campus activities, conduct daily group life-skills coaching sessions, complete intake and assessments, provide transportation to residents, answer phones, conduct hourly room checks to ensure resident compliance with schedule requirements.nts.   • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must pass physical examination
  • Must have and maintain current Clark County Health Card, and CPR/1st Aid certification

    Job Title:

    KITCHEN SUPERVISOR

    Kitchen Coordinator (FT) Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen facilities at the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. Will create weekly menus, prepare meals, order supplies, coordinate with dietitians, ensure sanitation, safety, and inventory controls are in place, and supervise kitchen staff/residents assigned to assist. Will complete all necessary reports and paperwork, and ensure that all equipment is kept in excellent condition.
    Requirements:
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in quantity cooking and kitchens of similar size
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 25-years old
  • Must have Clark County Food Handlers Card AND Kitchen Manager card
  • Must be free of communicable diseases
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must have valid NV license, and clean driving record. Driver History Reports are required to be submitted on a quarterly basis.

    Sample Duties Provide assistance to low income households, in applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance benefits, Energy Assistance Program benefits and other wrap around services. Will schedule appointments, enter information into databases and HMIS systems, and ensure all information is complete and accurate. Effectively explain public social service programs and assist individuals with completing paperwork.

    Sample Duties This position will serve as the first point of contact for all HELP of Southern Nevada visitors and callers. Will direct people to the proper department, notify staff of client/visitorsí arrival, provide and assist clients with forms, receive delivery of packages and supplies and direct them to the proper recipient. Answer phones, retrieve voicemail messages, and handle or forward as appropriate Will maintain cleanliness in the front office area, and ensure adequate supplies and forms are on hand.

Assists program participants with developing resumes, completing career assessments, and developing an Individual Employment Plan.
